January 19, 2026. The Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology participated in a planning meeting for QS World University Rankings 2026 by Lecturer Benya Whangmahaporn, Deputy Director of the Academic Resource Center, and staff.

Assistant Professor Dr. Morakot Veerarungruang, Director of the Research and Development Institute, presented the report. Associate Professor Dr. Chutikarn Sriviboon, President of the University, officially opened the conference and Mr. Thammanoon Nuamonong, Deputy Director of the University Office, Chiang Mai University, gave a lecture on "Preparing SSRU for QS World University Rankings 2026" and "QS World University Rankings Criteria and the Role of Research in Elevating Universities to International Standards."

This meeting focused on ranking criteria and policy direction whear the articipants exchanged ideas to systematically prepare the university for sustainable international recognition. The event was organized by the Research and Development Institute, and took place at the University Council Meeting Room, 5th Floor, Building 31.
